The fallacy that’s been sold about low carbohydrate diets and it’s benefits is slowly getting out of hand. I honestly don’t understand how a person calling themselves a health worker would tell someone to stop eating fruits? 😔
Fruits are a rich source of fibre, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients/antioxidants that are great for reducing inflammation, controlling digestion, metabolism and excretions of nutrients, wastes and toxins.
Fruits have been shown to improve gut functionality which is directly linked to reduced metabolic conditions like obesity that has been linked to some Cancers, diabetes, Hypertension, mental disorders and other conditions. https://youtu.be/mXWMXtq9T2I
So how can you go low carb and still enjoy your fruits? Are fruits not carbohydrates?
Going low carb, unless medically prescribed should not put you in a situation whereby you cannot even enjoy a slice of pawpaw or a simple banana without worrying about the fructose content of that amazing fruit? That’s torture if you ask me.
The best way to go low carb is actually avoiding processed and refined sugars and carbohydrates. Things like soda, noodles, refined cereals, cakes, ice-cream and more. Instead substitute them with whole grains, tubers, fruits and vegetables that are rich in other nutrients (vitamins and minerals as well). https://youtu.be/mXWMXtq9T2I
Pair your Healthy carbs with good quality protein ( plant/animal), healthy fats, physical exercise, good sleep, a well balanced mind ( not too idle, not too occupied) and enjoy nature.
Remember it’s never that serious and fruits (whole fruits not the refined juices) are great for your Health.
